Story: Grandma and Grandpa were visiting their kids overnight

Grandma and Grandpa were spending the night at their son’s house, enjoying precious family time. While freshening up, Grandpa spotted a bottle of “V” pills in the bathroom cabinet. Curious, he asked his son if he could try one. His son hesitated before replying, “Dad, I don’t think you should. They’re strong—and expensive.”

Grandpa, now more intrigued, asked, “How much are they?” His son answered, “Ten dollars each.” But the cost didn’t bother Grandpa at all. With a mischievous grin, he said, “That’s fine. I’ll try one and leave the money under my pillow before we go in the morning.” His son chuckled and agreed, thinking nothing more of it.

The next morning, after Grandma and Grandpa left, the son went to tidy up their room. When he lifted the pillow, he was stunned to find $110 in cash neatly tucked underneath. Confused, he quickly called out to his father, “Dad! I told you those pills were ten dollars each, not one hundred and ten!”

Grandpa burst into laughter and said, “I know! I just wanted to make sure I had enough for the experience!” His playful response left his son speechless but smiling from ear to ear. It was just like Grandpa—always full of humor, curiosity, and that spark of youth, no matter his age.

The family couldn’t stop laughing about it for days. That visit became one of their favorite memories—a reminder that life is sweeter when you don’t take everything too seriously. Grandpa’s humor turned an ordinary night into a story they’d cherish forever.
