A magician and his parrot are performing on a cruise ship.

Every night, the parrot ruins the magician’s tricks by telling the audience how they’re done. The magician pulls a rabbit out of a hat, and the parrot shouts,

“THERE’S A TRAP DOOR IN THE HAT! THERE’S A TRAP DOOR IN THE HAT!”

The magician correctly guesses an audience member’s card from a deck, and the parrot shouts,

“THEY’RE ALL THE SAME CARD!

THEY’RE ALL THE SAME CARD!”

One night, the cruise ship sinks. The magician swims over to a piece of debris, and the parrot joins him. They float in silence for 2 days, not saying a word to each other.

On the 3rd day, the parrot finally looks the magician in the eyes and says, “Okay, I give up. How did you make the ship disappear?”
