A Mysterious Banner Appeared Outside Our House One Day—The Real Surprise Was Who Wrote It and Why

My sister disappeared a decade ago after her wedding night. Ten years later, I found a letter she left behind. My sister Laura was full of life on her wedding day—dancing barefoot in our backyard, her white dress stained and frayed, but she didn’t care. But every birthday, every anniversary, I lit a candle for Laura. I whispered her name and wondered where she was. Then, ten years later, I received a package. No return address—but the handwriting was unmistakably Laura’s. Inside was an envelope with my name, “Emma,” written in her handwriting. With it was a piece of motel stationery, yellowed and dated June 12, 2015—the morning after she vanished. My hands trembled as I opened the letter. ⬇ (Full story in c0mment 💬)
